Hi Cradlerock Families! Just wanted to give everyone a quick update on a few PTA events coming up in the next two months:
There are two regularly scheduled meetings remaining this semester: Our November general meeting will be held on the 14th at 7 PM in the CRES Media Center. December’s meeting will be held on 12th.
Our annual Fall Teacher’s Luncheon will be held on November 20th.
Here are two great upcoming informational and educational events that will be at the school this month:
Coffee & Conversation: Tuesday, November 14th 8:30 – 9:30 am
Cradlerock Elementary is hosting a “Coffee & Conversation” with the multi-service center (MSC) of Howard County on Tuesday, November 14th. This is an opportunity for Cradlerock families to learn and ask questions about the resources provided by the MSC for residents of Howard County.
At this meeting input will be gathered about which topics and guest speakers would be of interest for future events. RSVP encouraged, but not required.

Parent’s Survival Guide for the Elementary Years: Wednesday, November 15th 6:00 – 8:00 pm
Changes occur with your child as they grow and develop in the elementary school years. Children fluctuate between independence and dependence and the combination can bring a wide range of behavior issues.
Attend this workshop to help understand how to help your 5 to 12 year old:
- Set the stage to create positive situations for empowerment and pride
- Develop consequences that work
- Gain strategies to handle oppositional behaviors
- Learn ways to develop better homework habits
Workshop is FREE and childcare (ages 2 and up) is available upon request.

The annual “Trunk or Treat” is tonight, Saturday Oct 28th at 7 PM at the school and will go until 8:15 (or until all our little ghosts and goblins have gotten all the candy!)
Volunteers should arrive at 6:30 PM to set up.

We thank everyone for their understanding, but April’s PTA meeting is cancelled due to Spring Break. The next regularly scheduled meeting will be on Wednesday, May 10th. We hope to see you then!

Hi everyone! Since there is no school scheduled on October 12th, we have moved the October meeting to the following week on the 19th. We hope to see you there!
We have started our Great American Fundraiser! The fundraiser will run until October 13th. Students should have brought home a packet with information. If you have any questions, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org. Let’s make this a success!
